East Coast Tour & Shuttle Co. was conceived and developed in 1994. It was originally designed to take small groups on "mini-adventures" throughout the east coast and central Florida. ECTS continues to evolve as a leading advocate for eco-tourism and the environment in the state.
Florida is blessed with a unique geography and an abundance of protected natural areas that makes it a premier destination for eco-tourists. Florida encompasses a variety of natural habitats to choose from, like coastal dunes, limestone caverns, desert-like scrublands, saltwater marshes and subtropical forests.
Perhaps one unique feature that remains unnoticed is Florida boasts more fresh water springs than any other place on earth. Our unique characteristics and mild winters make Florida one of the most traveled destinations in the world. Although many people travel to visit our densely populated cities with high-energy tourist attractions, many from all over the world seek the majesty of our waters, the solitude of our trails, the beauty of the floral and fauna or the healing powers of our springs.
The political realities are setting in. People have realized that our dearest and most valuable resource is our natural habitat. Although Florida is developing at an alarming rate, more and more people are skipping forward to protect what is vital to our state.
It is our mission to serve as beacons for those who want to preserve what is left for generations to come. In our simple way, we ask that you come join us on a journey to discover the subtle treasures of Florida. In doing so, it will awaken you to all the rich historical, cultural and natural resources that she offers.
